The republicans pushed their (unpassable, dead on arrival) budget to the house today
Link to NPR with its fair and balanced viewpoint and nonpartisan pictures:
http://www.npr.org/blogs/itsallpolitics/2012/03/29/149564923/romneys-support-for-ryan-budget-has-democrats-crying-foul

Mitt Romneybot threw his support behind this budget, saying its the way to cut the deficit over 30 years without raising any taxes at all.
So where does it get its money? From $500 billion saved in by cutting Medicare growth over the next decades.
And where is that $500 billion from? Obamacare.

The entire Paul Ryan budget is based on the back of using all the funds from Obamacare, as if the Republicans now support it and assume it will pass no matter what.
And how do they use it? In Obamacare, $500 billion is saved from Medicare because of the other provisions of the Affordable Care act, making it grow slower, saving money overall
So no money is actually cut from Medicare at all. That money saved is both saved, and some of it reraised again to redirect to the other Affordable Care act provisions.

Under the Republican's Obamacare-fueled budget plan, they would take all the funds set aside for Obamacare that would normally be savings, not cuts, and cut Medicare, and redirect that money to lower the national debt, basically paying it straight to China, instead of American Citizens.
Meanwhile, since they would (under this supposed budget plan) repeal all the benefits of Obamacare, while not repealing its funding, it would simply amount to cutting $500 billion from Medicare without lowering its growth at all.
They wouldn't overhaul health care, and leave it as it is, except slashing its funding to the point seniors will be dying in the streets as they collect cans to exchange for their $200 a pill medications.

Mitt Romneybot and Paul Ryan: Pro-Obamacare, Anti-Health Care.
They want to take money away from American Seniors and Single Mothers and send it to Saudi Arabia and China.

...the Ryan plan balances the budget by 2040 while the Obama plan never balances the budget .

The Ryan plan does money set aside for health care and cuts 100% of it, and sends it to China.
The budget is balanced in Obama's plan by growing the economy, and taxes on the people who aren't paying their fair share.
The Republican plan is that "we're on a sinking ship and need to jettison as many people as possible into the sea to float as long as we can"

That approach might have gotten some attention back when the economy was in recession, but we're booming now baby. Unemployment is dropping dramatically, and the economy is growing at 3+%.
So the whole "THE SKIES FALLING BUILD FALLOUT BUNKERS WERE ALL GONNA DIE A BLACK MAN IS PRESIDENT THE ECONOMY IS GONNA COLLAPSE", well, its not applicable

So, lemme see if I understand this.

Someone presents a plan to get rid of our debt.

You make fun of that person because you disagree with cutting Medicare.

You offer no alternative for a feasible way to fix the debt.

You still look like a jackass trying to stir shit by copy/pasting media sources and putting no real thought of your own into the situation.

...can you participate in a discussion without sounding like David Axelrod's menopausal sister ?

Promising to balance the budget on " growing the economy " is the same as promising frequent flyer miles on a magical unicorn .

Government policies which caused the housing market and Wall Street to get insane did. I assume that's what he meant. They were pro-growth policies, until it all came crashing down.
