Why is smoking in public dangerous to others around you ?

because everyone is hopelessly and completely brainwashed. at least nearly everyone i've ever met in my life is, since i can only claim this from experience.

the reason's because of two factors, the media makes out smoking to be worse than it actually is, and the media heavily advocates acting melodramatic.

what you get is non-smokers going apeshit for someone smoking a cigarette outdoors 4 feet away from them, because their shallow, weak mind truly believes they'll get cancer.

Im trying to enjoy a delicious burger, and all i can smell/taste is your Marlboro Red's.
Not to mention, atleast for me, its irritating to the eyes and nose for a non smoker.
Then you smell like it for the next hour and a half.

Who cares about danger? why should i have to breath in foul smelling smoke that has been through your lungs?

Excuse me sir but not only is your cigarette smoke extremely offensive to my senses it is a trigger for my Asthma. Plus while it may not be as harmful as it is made out to be it certainly is not harmless(relatively speaking) and to say so is just as bad as the fear mongering.

there's a billion and one phony amateur studies done on it, all with different results. do some research, and you tell me.

either way, second hand smoke means actually inhaling smoke from others, not being within a 10-foot radius of someone smoking a cigarette. i feel obligated to tell you because nobody seems to understand that.
