Absolute bloodbath in the markets today and yesterday... Trump supporting business owners and CEOs freaking out. Recession on the brink.... We all know Trump will eventually turn tail, but when? I guess 1 week before he reverses tariffs and tries to act like "we won" somehow.

Buy the dip, I guess?

e - I wanna change my vote to this weekend. We all know his puppet masters are going to be calling and pressure weak old dementia dumpy into caving.

Local US plants already letting go of workers.

https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/stellantis-says-will-temporarily-lay-off-900-us-workers-following-tariff-2025-04-03/

Then you have the DOGE layoffs which you could be in favour of, regardless those people will be looking for new employment but per the recent data, the expectation is 16% less hiring than the year prior so that's not great for those people going to look for jobs.

Reuters had another piece adjacent to that story about GM hiring workers in Fort Wayne Indiana attributed to Tarrifs. Hard to gauge the net effects so early

Not going to happen.
Have to have a little shit to grow a big beautiful garden.

Stop staring at the stock market.
Last week you didn't stare at the stock market 24/7.

It goes up, it goes down, it goes up, it goes down, repeat.

If most of your money is invested in garbage (e.g. anything Cathie Woods touches) you're probably in pain, but that's good, because it's a learning opportunity and you have yourself to blame.

Gotta read the full article.

Quote
The announcement comes as Automaker Stellantis announced it would be temporarily halting production at a plant in Canada and a plant in Mexico shortly after President Donald Trump announced a 25% tariff on imported vehicles. The move will result in the temporary layoff of 900 U.S. employees, including some in Indiana.

So they're firing 900 employees and hiring TEMPORARY workers, ones that can be let go after.

Pretty clear sign what they think is actually going to happen.

I was having trouble reading the full articles on my phone with the pay wall. I thought GM was hiring both temporary and long term employees. Temporary being the ones to update the site or something.

Stellanris temporary firing with odds of perma

Dang, I lost the weekend bet.

Wonder when ole dumpy is gonna rescind his terrible tariffs and crawl away with his tail between his legs.

The most hilarious thing was today, when there was potential that the tariffs would be removed, and the stock market went up

Then crashed again cause it wasn't confirmed.

RIP
