Ever notice how some demographics seem to get into conflicts with the domestic population wherever they go? I think banning migrants/immigrants from some countries isn't a bad idea

I think all immigration in the US should stop until we don’t have orphanages, foster homes or a major homeless problem.

Yes, or at minimum a balance. Canada is flodded with primarly immigrants from India right now and its clearly causing big clashing cultural shifts in cities across Canada where as I think if you take in a balance from various cultures / countries you will see more of a melting pot rather than a clash.

Canada cleary need immigrants, I am not saying stop immigration I am just saying have a system that allows for better homogenization.

a major homeless problem.

I wonder what role the process of deinstitutionalization in the 1960s had in contributing to the problem of homelessness.

There should be an administered test where they have to read at a fifth-grade reading level before being allowed passage. That would eliminate 95% of them.

Homelessness is caused by mental illness to a large degree, so I don't think that is possible.

Making adoption cheaper would be a huge good change though.

Just do what they do in war torn countries and deploy brigades to the borders, only let in tanks and military personel.

A big issue for us here in Canada land is we had a fairly well establisehd point systems. The point systems was essentially circumvented when the government allowed it to be bypassed in recent years via the temporary foreign labour program. Aka, if you have a job offer you're allowed in. What happened was almost immediatly all larger corporations primarly in the service industry started posting jobs with absurdly low wages, minimum wage almost always, they could then say to the gov't we had no applicants so we can access the temporary foreign labour program.

I think anyone from Canada here can vouch how much sevrice staff has changed. Corporations will go with the lowest cost everytime if allowed, its unsuprising what the end result was.

I don't blame immigrants, I blame our gov't opening the doors for large corporations to exploit the temporary labour progrm.

Someone gets it. Don't direct your hatred or disdain towards people who use the opportunity, blame the people who allow it. In case of a democracy, get them out of the office ASAP.
