First of all, a Disclaimer: I am a left leaning european, so the the politician I mostly align with in the US is probably Bernie Sanders - we have very left leaning fiscal politics compared to the US, while our policies towards migration more align with dems or even more conservative.

What do you expect from the Trump presidency (either for your personal life or on a more country/global wide scale) and can it be measured? Republicans have all the control they could ever ask for, so I think we all can agree everything that follows is exactly what you voted for. I am both interested in views of people who voted for Trump and people who dislike them, it's mostly to come back in 12-24 months and see what really happened. I will start:

0. I'm sadly too late for that one, but I guess we all expected a ton of unqualified people for his cabinet so that was free anyways
1. Trump and his cabinet (especially Elon Musk) will do everything they can to enrich themselves (and stay in power, probably by some legal shenanigans)
2. Some well accepted laws will be overturned or ignored - most likely candidates: protections for gay/trans/people of color
3. The economy will go up for some time while your deficit increases a ton bc of tax cuts for mostly rich people / businesses
4. NATO and climate agreements will take a huge hit (probably by the US just leaving) making the world a worse place for future generations
5. Something stupid with Russia, not sure what though
6. Deportations will happen, but they will be super inefficient, cost a ton of money and people will wonder where the cheap workers they depended on went

9. It will become clear that project 2025 was the plan all along and Trump just lied when he said it wasn't because people hated it

Why would there be a nationwide abortion ban when in 2022* Roe was overturned and the issue was sent back to be decided by individual states? I've lost count how many times Trump has said that he wants individual states to decide on the issue not the fed government. Painfully uninformed..

All newly appointed sc justices also said they would not overturn Roe v Wade and here we are. You realize how predictions work, right? It's not what about Trump said will happen, but what will actually be done - you can predict there will be no national abortion ban and you might be right, but you could at least use some of your braincells to understand the purpose of the thread itself.

He has explicitly said he wouldn't have a federal abortion ban. There is no wide support for it and it would be a massively damaging issue to republicans. The issue has been on the ballot at state level this election cycle for a number of states. Florida, Missouri, etc. It's a stupid prediction because it shows how uninformed you are on the landscape of the issue. If a conservative state like Missouri got the necessary majority to expand abortion access, in what universe would Trump ram a federal abortion ban through? Fuck me, critical thinking is in short supply. Just inform yourself at the very least.

0. Do you think Gaetz is a good AG? Hegseth a good secretary of defense? RFK jr a good person to advise on vaccines? Trumps children/Kuschner good for any position (I know they haven't been appointed yet)?
1. Trump is clearly doing a lot to collect money, like creating multiple NFT trading cards of himself, a bible for 60 dollars, forcing the SS to stay at his hotels at higher rates etc. I assume Musk might be more interested in power than money, but that oftentimes goes hand in hand
2. I have no evidence based opinion if/when supporting children/teenagers with their perceived gender is good or bad, I just assume that some protections for vulnerable people will be lifted/ignored
3. Sometimes? Often times businesses just increase their profits and make their shareholders (i.e. not the common man) happy. Honestly I never heard of a raise for normal workers caused by tax cuts for businesses, did you?
4. So we agree the US will leave, you just approve. That's fine
5. An end that highly favors Russia would be something I would classify as "stupid". An end to the war were Ukraine keeps its territories would be a huge win and a great achievement for Trump
