Things have been getting rather sketchy between Texas and the US government. It is a common feeling among Texans that the federal government is facilitating an invasion at our border with Mexico.

Just this year there have been over 2,000,000 encounters with illegal immigrants. This number does not include those who have not interacted with BP. With the failure to enforce established federal laws and recent Supreme Court rulings essentially allowing the federal law enforcement agents to interfere with Texas national guard’s attempts to enforce our own laws regarding illegal immigration, fears are growing this may escalate to conflict between states and the United States government.

that border has been a leaking point for 30+ years, its just politicized now. and that's both ways, biden is too soft for political reasons, texans being too hyper politicized for the opposite reason. if they met in the middle they might actually get something done, but they wont.
