Looked at a few polls and trump is the top GOP candidate, but losing by a large amount in the overall general election.

Reading some news articles and recent US general polls and see trump losing by A LOT, but cannot find what is new.

Trying to pinpoint where it recently started to collapse for trump. I thought it might be the general Nazi rhetoric, but that has been common since 1980. Maybe it is the recent indictments? But those have been around for awhile. I thought it might be some new rape cases, but i can only find evidence for the last 20 cases over 20 years, but nothing super new. If anyone knows any new federal or criminal charges, please let me know.

If I had to take a wild guess, then I would say its because Trump is an idiot. Not saying other candidates arent, but he is not holding back. He is not a very subtle idiot.
