Well besides the schizo op, what we can glean from the case is that there was a one-sided account in court accusing him of child abuse / neglect / domestic violence, and there may be significant physical evidence to back that up in the form of text messages and security cameras. That the man accused did not attend the hearing or present a defense, and while its possible he was somehow shafted out of the opportunity that's almost never the case. And the judge ruled completely against him to an extreme, granting full custody of the kids to the mother, barring all contact or visitation and granting a hefty monthly child support payment. And the guy responded by hunting down and killing the judge.
There are details in other articles, like apparently the guy filed for divorce from his wife and it was mutual, but intended to continue living in the same house with her for 2 years while saving money for the separation, and that in previous filings the judge had rejected a request from the wife to take the children out of state while the case was pending, and the judge indicated he wanted to give the father some visitation rights with the children, and that more of the domestic violence accusations came after those initial filings.

Sure, we're getting only one side of the story, but every indication is that the judge ruled appropriately given the evidence we have both before and after
There are lots of mundane cases like this where enough evidence exists in the public eye to make a pretty reasonable conclusion after only glancing at someone's life story, dude was a scumbag

"The order Wilkinson signed Thursday refers to a 2009 Mercedes that Argote was to make available to his children's mother "upon reasonable request to attend to necessary shopping or medical or dental" appointments for her and the children.

The judgment also states the mother was to have "sole use and possession of the family home," property west of Hagerstown, and that Argote was not to enter that property.

Argote was to pay the mother child support of $1,120 a month for their four minor children, the judgment states."

According to the docket for the domestic violence case, that case was dismissed around the time the temporary protective order expired, at the request of the petitioner. The petitioner was Argote's wife.

We have responded for verbal domestic assault two times in the last two years," but authorities were not aware of any prior criminal record in Washington County, Albert said at the news conference."

this is pretty messed up. who's house was this, and can we see the dockets/files for these charges and cases?

going by just what the article says here: https://www.heraldmailmedia.com/story/news/local/2023/10/20/man-wanted-in-md-judges-murder-was-in-court-before-judge-that-day/71252907007/

the judge basically stripped him of everything. his property / home, added debt, and most importantly his kids. murdering someone isn't the answer, but good grief that's a huge blow to someone's soul what did the judge expect him to do, send him roses in the mail and a thank you card?

however, i need more info here as to the charges. if he was a child abuser or something, it'll definitely change my perspective on everything

Crazy person prison bound.
Judge Dredd terminated.
Wife full custody of children and no-contest ownership of house and assets now.

Win-Win-Win scenario

If that's the guys reaction he certainly has no business having custody of children that's for sure.

Congratulations now you will certainly not only not have custody but the only time you're ever going to see them is a prison visit. When that's your thinking process clearly you're mentally unwell and unfit to take care of and raise young children. He obviously has no rational or critical thinking abilities.

Judge fucked around and found out with an evidently violent man.

If you're going to be the person who makes the decision to destroy an entire man's life when no crime has been committed other than nebulous accusations of abuse, you should really make sure than man is locked away first

Wife kind of wins in this scenario until the man (likely due to soft on crime policy) makes it out of prison and kills her too
