It has to be noted how incredibly rare and wild the step of a judge rejecting a plea deal was. Judges have almost always treated plea deals as out of their hands, since its an agreement between the adversarial sides. By rejecting a plea deal she's all but saying out loud that the prosecution was corruptly trying to hand a free pass to Hunter Biden, and laid out how the deal would give past and future immunity with its vague clauses.

Really what this speaks to is the kind of weaponization of bureaucracy you get in an unaccountable system tainted by human discretion. As long as parties involved can use opaque decision making to give a wide latitude of inequal consequences for the same action, a 'justice' system can be little more than a fig leaf of legitimacy draped over a wanton tyranny. If someone you don't like commits a crime, you can charge them at both state and federal level, apply redundant independent charges for each possible subdivision of offenses per-material, file charges only in the most hostile districts with sure-to-convict juries, suppress exculpatory evidence from the defense and lie to the judge about evidence production and then stack the sentences consecutively and put away someone for 200 years for twenty counts of aggravated jaywalking. But if someone you like commits a crime, prosecutors can wring their hands about limited resources and discretion and reluctantly bring minimum charges with a plea deal written on the back of a monopoly get-out-of-jail-free card.

The massive amounts of salacious low level crime like drugs and drunk driving 170 mph (274 kmh) and crashing cars and gun crimes and tax evasion and illegal prostitution and possibly underage prostitution would put a normal person in prison for years but has absolutely no bearing on our national politics. The big problem is that Joe Biden got his son connected with international bribery rings, took tens of millions of dollars in bribes, of which Joe Biden personally took half, and then abused our national foreign policy as a quid pro quo to foreign oligarchs- which was part of playing a role in the start of the Ukraine war that killed hundreds of thousands of people. That's not 'treason', but it is a high crimes of corruption, bribery, racketeering, etc

Its a pretty direct quid pro quo. Joe Biden and/or his family were paid millions by an oligarch, that oligarch came under investigation for corruption, Joe Biden flew to his country and threatened to cut off foreign aid unless they fired the investigators. Pretty tame manipulation compared to the years of puppetry that would follow as the US took full control of the Ukrainian government apparatus and got millions of people killed or displaced, but it was part of the preamble to the war.

But his reported income did suddenly surge by over $5 million in the opaque reporting of his book sales.

In general most of the people paying millions to the Bidens were overtly corrupt oligarchs or intelligensia, known for their bribery rings and in a few cases already / subsequently convicted of bribery offenses, imprisoned and/or mysteriously disappeared by the Chinese government. There was no pretense of legitimate business transactions, and no imaginable world in which someone could say with a straight face they'd spend millions hiring a drugged up dropout crackhead with zero business skills and who doesn't even speak their language. And those involved all talked about how Joe Biden was getting a cut (usually 50%, sometimes 10%)

Ye Jianming, the previous Chairman of CEFC is part of the Jiang Zemin Shanghai Clique which include Zhou Yong Kang and Bo Xilai. Not surprising he disappeared. Since the Shanghai Clique tired to assassinate Xi in the late 2000s due to internal power struggle.
The CEFC scandal was huge in Hong Kong. Yes we all know about it in Hong Kong. But at that time we do not know that the Bidens are involved.

That being said the amount of money that is being revealed at least from your image, I think is exceptionally small amount. I believe it is a lot more. I don't think the Chinese will pay them so little.
