So the extent of this investigations findings was him not properly filing taxes and having a gun.

Really shows the difference in corruption between parties. One is minor and the other is brazenly ridiculously corrupt.

Yes, the two crimes the right had accused the guy of for the past few years are as of today, public record.

I haven't seen anybody accuse him of incorrectly filling taxes

What timeline am I in?
On earth prime I recall a whole lot of accusations about, drugs, incest, corruption involving his dad..
Literally nothing about tax evasion or guns (both of which the right are fanatical about enjoying).
Imagine calling yourself a conservative and even caring about either thing.. thats when you know you are just a shill with a hand in your rear end telling you to say dumb stuff.

It's kind of extraordinary. Cultists spin themselves up thinking Hunter is heading to the gulags... he follows the advice of lawyers and gets a reasonable sentence for some tax fraud and having a gun as a felon. Trump steals extremely sensitive documents, and withholds them when the government spends a year trying to get them back, obviously engages in obstruction, yet they think he's getting a raw deal by getting charged.

The only consistency is that they believe he should be above the law because he is the cult leader. There's no serious arguments about the law.

The more conservative you are the less sensitive you are to cognitive dissonance. They know the contradiction exists, they just don't care.
