But aren't the "kings of the east" going to war or have been already with the promised land? (Iraq and Saudi Arabia) against Israel? Do you think that Babylon could be from one of those countries?

Hmm...but I think in revelation it's being specific, I know the power of the old Babylon has gone away, but the location being east of euphrates for which "the great city" fell seems likely to possibly be a capital of great importance to one of these countries in our present/future day. Possibly a great religious city of importance that has a history with dealing with Christians or Jews violently either in SA or Iraq. Maybe one of there capitals? Mecca? Will the war be between Islam and Christians and Jews when the antichrist comes to try and bring in a new world order to unite all countries into one government? All speculation....

If your saying that vicar of christ means substitute for christ and are correlating that to blasphemy and providing insight such as past murders of Christians, does it still fit the geographical location of revelation concerning the kings of the east? I don't know if the Vatican city fits Babylon.
