Basically, CNN wants to steer the conversation as hard as possible to be about nothing but January 6th and the 2020 election. Trump meanwhile wants to steer it back to the economy & ukraine

the CNN host shows what would happen in a debate with Biden. Trump looks bad when he's talking himself into a corner about the last election. He's completely dominating and making CNN look like a joke on the economy and especially Ukraine. He's supposed to be on the defense when they demand he say we must 'defeat Russia' and he declares he wants to end the war and save human lives and stop the mass deaths, and call them out for lying about the death tolls. So instead its supposed to be all about events from 3 years ago, 7 years ago, 30 years ago. Even on the she-skeletor line where they hoped to get him, he was on the attack. And that's without him even having personal material to work with like he would about Biden and his corruption, which they only glossed over for a second
