i tried the classic beta realm and when i try to go back to the us east realm it sais battle.net is unable to properly identify your application version...anybody know how to fix this?

yea.. uninstall and install diablo.. and don`t join in this beta again..so u will get the same error

Uninstall the game completely and reinstall, I suggest using blizzard.com to download your game so you can play without a disc and without that error.

because blizzard expects everyone to use their site to download the game when the user has old discs, they are becoming obsolete. Of course that doesn't count for their newer discs in stores now.

omfg lol my install disk is broke lmfao so we cant go back to west.. ( good thing i sold everything on west first b4 this error xD )

you can download full diablo 2 from blizzard store website.
(or BT -> probably faster but riskier)
