do you play hammerdins? blessed hammers are magic damage. there are three types of monsters in the game; demons, undead, and animals. the only animals in the game that are immune to magic damage are wailing beasts which are found in act 3 hell (you encounter them a lot when you go to get the book). prior to this patch, paladins ignored the resistances immunities of demons and undead and therefore magic immune animals (wailing beasts) were the only thing hammerdins couldnt kill with blessed hammer. with 1.13 blessed hammer no longer ignores the resistances and immunities of demons and undead. the upshot of this is that now demons and undead are slightly (mostly unnoticeably) harder to kill in general with hammers, but more importantly, the second wave greater mummies in baal runs are now immune to hammers. no more baal botting with a hammerdin unless you script them to smite or zeal the greater mummies to death. now ALL monsters that say they are immune to magic damage really are immune to hammers.
