Your business name and Rebus Puzzle idea are kind of conflicting.

For example, the first idea from dcast99 would kind of read "The (Shot in the Dark) Dark", but there's no really good way to get your business name across because it has "dark" in the name.

Here's my thoughts - but they don't exactly say your business name.

A bit more abstract than your first - I'm not sure how I feel to be honest, but I would be willing to explore more in regards to your idea with just using "Shot" inside a dark area.
I wonder if we could make the word "Shot" appear like a camera (with lines/outlines - but still clearly say "shot") in a dark area of an aperture or something else like that - I think that might be an interesting tangent from your idea

This is just a smaller sub-section of the small business, which is why I don't mind being abstract.
The whole business has a much more professional and modern approach, but I have two different websites since one this one would contain mature content and I wouldn't want that tied into the same business I'm showing clients for (example) a sports-team session with middle school kids.

I think his first image was trying to emphasize the word to assist in the Rebus itself - his most recent examples are closer to your suggestion/avoiding the conflict
Also, saying the business name isn't exactly important here - abstract is 100% okay, since the main business has it's own name and marketing. This is just so I can have a portfolio of images that stays separate from the main business due to mature content Lots of creative freedom here
As for your attempts, I definitely understand where you're going with it (and you're definitely cognizant of the potential conflict - which I like). I think your second attempt without the word "the" and in a circular shape (Rather than square) could be a step in the right direction - but otherwise I'm not sure how else to progress to a point I would be excited for.

I’mma just throw this in here. No need for attempt tip, just wanted to show my idea to the triangle representing the camera flash, maybe someone can take the idea and enhance it.

I also had that conflict, and had trouble thinking of how to visually portray a "shot" (the action of taking a photograph) being in the dark.
