That's not the correct link to embed an image with BB code

You need to use the direct image link, which ends a file extension:



Either copy the share link BBCode (Forums) provided by Imgur, or right-click the image to copy the link

this is what im getting. i dont see an option for direct link

There should be an icon with three dots on it in the top right corner when you hover your cursor over the image. That menu should give you different share links to choose from. BBCode Forums would be the one needed here.
However, it's easier to just right-click the image after uploading to copy the URL, or to open the image in a new tab to copy the URL from the bar at the top of your browser.
