Depends on what you want, static or animated, smudge, pop-out etc...

Also how complicated your ask is and how many edits it takes to make you happy.

The minimum is probably 100fg and the max is several thousand.

Typically people ask 500-1000 for static, single image, and 1000-2000fg for a nice animated sig.
