This is very close mate, remember to play with layers and different modes. I also usually try to render out the character or motive out of the background so that I can pop some lightning or textures behind the character to get that feeling of depth, using smoke, dust, lightning or really any texture to divide the background from the focal point. After that I usually have a flare or lightning effect on top to blend it in and make it look more natural. I am not good with words here so I try to explain as well as I can. Use some glow/color dodge for that pop and make sure to use multiply for even more contrast (I tend to use black in base at start even)

Also think of it as an organic being. Every smudge is different, but take inspiration from other artists as well. It's hard to explain smudge because it is different in every software. Since I make all my GFX on my iPad and I am not using photoshop, I tend to have trouble making the classic smudge look and therefore I developed my own style of smudging as you can see in my current signature!

Just keep doing it and you will get there soon bro, it's looking good!

Remember rule of thirds so move spawn like slightly to the right and then that creates a nice pocket to add text near his hand or even all the way to the left centered.

( I tell you this as my sig is centered haha)

Yo 037, you still working on that john wick one?

All sigs end up in 700 kB but you have to reduce frames and optimize it to get it down bro, I think you would manage easily you just have to realise the difference in quality will always be there :hail:

I actually love this one in black and white. A little more work and it would be looking real sharp.
