This isn't for personal use regardless if you are about to take the image, rip it, and sell it for a profit of digital currency to a customer. I wouldn't recommend using a watermarked image from deviant art as it is seen as intellectual property. I'm sure the consequences of using an image for a signature on JSP are nearly null however still not good practice. Also, the talk about morality is ironic in regards to our recent conversations about AI artwork. :)
My honest opinion just looking out for everyones best interests.
why would you write stuff like this?
you used AI 100% in its entirety or made very little adjustments and sold it as your own without saying that it was from AI.
This is why we had that conversation about morality via PM because by not stating it was made my AI, its called "lie by omission of facts."
On the other hand, this issue is OP specifically selecting a watermarked picture and asking for alteration from an artist.
There is no omission of facts.
These are two completely separate issues.
Also in terms of watermarked pictures, the resolutions are so low that they don't care.
Watermark exists to protect it from commercial use, not personal.
Btw, I talked to a professional artist about this. He laughed. He told me that 99.9999% of the artists
1) do not know d2jsp
2) do not care for your fgs ( I told him each sig was 1k~2k which is around 5~10usd)
3) the wages are so low that no one would take this seriously
But as I mentioned, this only becomes problematic when the sig contains an unreleased IP.
In which case, that would be a serious concern.
Another ethical concern is when the sig maker lies that they painted this.
Then that is morally reprehensible.
But i dont think any buyer is that dumb enough to think that for 1k~2k, a sig maker drew the entire sig from scratch.
OP doesnt want this thread to be a chat so stop leaving comments here. Let this be the last comment.
