likelyhood of something happening is very small. I think it was just a generic warning shot - using D2jsp on any game is probably against the TOS. Yet nothing seems to happen.

As long as you are not a big time dealer I do not think it is worth it for them to go after you.

Just make use of old chat things like AIM or skype via PMs and shit. So easy.

I understand that you can be banned if you trade in-game items for FG or vice-versa.
However, is it allowed to use d2jsp as a medium to advertise the items you're selling?
Like for instance, can I still post on d2jsp, "Selling the following for in-game orbs." and not get banned?
Technically, there is no transfer or any interaction of FG within the trade, just another market to advertise to.

Yes, it means if they know you're conducting trades on jsp, ban. That's exactly what the PM was asking about.
