Definitly clerics for main heals, songweaver or chanters for support.

I main cleric and I'm in love with it. It's amazing for pretty much everything : leveling is easy, soloing bosses for money is doable, you always get groups. The cool thing about it too, is that as well as beeing a healer, with the right setup you can also be one of the strongest DPS class in the game. And if you do it right, you can be the top DPS of your group at the same time as the healer (but doing this is quite a challenge ;) )

the cons : for end game, it's the most expensive character to gear up, as you need a lots of different sets. For exemple, you absolutly need an HP set for the instances. Some other instances require an MR set (but very few, you don't realllyyyy need this badly). If you wanna run some of the instances as a DPS, you need a magic boost set. For pvp, you need both a pvp block set and a pvp magic resist set, which takes weeks of grinding to get.

i'll add another con, at least from my experience playing aion :P there's a lot of pressure on clerics to keep the group alive and healthy...so especially if you happen to be playing with any lag, it's probably a safer bet to dps. i find that there's more room for error as dps in most cases
sw's are supposed to be strong in this new patch, and are really well-rounded (heal, mana heal, sleep/silence, dps, dispel). plus a lot of instant cast skills. imo they're the easiest class to play, which is why i main sw :D and if you enjoy playing support, i think you'd love playing support sw ^^

I partially agree. If you know your class, your cooldowns and your rotations 95% of the stuff in this game is not only doable, but easy for clerics to heal, as long as you have a good tank who'll mark targets to focus down, good enough DPS and knowledge of the fight. Pressure is just as high on the DPS and the tank. Of course, some people are lazy and get carried, and that's something you can't afford to be on a cleric, but overall if you play the game your goal should be to get good at what you do

I agree about the support SW part, they're now preeeetty awesome !
