Hi, I was wondering if Aion is pay-to-win? And by p2w I mean when I get to end game will I need to spend real money to make igg fast?

it'S not necessarly pay to win, but they are implementing more and more stuff to make you wanna spend money.

also the RNG is very bad when putting stones in your gear or when using enhancement stone to up it.
thats the most annoying part of the game, like /bash head in wall.

so the easy p2w stuff they sell to make enhancing/stoning your gear easier or more accessible becomes tempting.
but even so the bad luck of randomness can strike!!

so... it is becoming p2w, at least in pvp, where enhancing your gear really counts toward dmg reduction and dmg increase

Its Pay to win if you have the money and resources (pre-mades etc) to use it correctly.

Look at it this way: EU Example; Buy goldpack, sell ingame vs 20-24kk. (Repeat).


You can provide yourself with alot of kinah in EU/NA from the aion shop, but that only gets you as far as + gear and socceting.
Aion is a skill-based game. Put a noob with full AP60 Ethernal +15 and I will beat his ass with my Pve geared ranger, no doubt.

Thats why I like aion pvp when it works. Kind of hate Eye, I miss back to the good old v2.x days.

I wouldn't call it pay to win. Pay to win gives you equips and stuff that are better than what you can find imo. The shop is mostly Aesthetic with some convenience items like scrolls, enchanting crap, exp charms, pets ranging from useless to storage or alert pets.. etc.
