EU got the shaft on the free to play model, no veteran account bullshit. 100% free to all players with no xp reductions/instance cooldown timer modifications/etc.

TO be released spring along with the 3.0 patch.


Anyone else digging this?

Heh... Nice joke dude. Starters/Veterans have xp reductions? No. Instance cooldown increase? Ofcourse - like NA players in the future. There will be something like ours "gold pack" which will decrease this cooldown.
I do not think, this is bullshit at all. All P2P games, should do the same. Free to play + item shop = more money, than P2P.

If you believe, that you will not have any of this restrictions and get FULL Aion completely for free - you are blind. Veteran is just making game a little easier with chat and trade. Mostly nothing else.

Well already confirmed that there will be no such veteran accounts and such.

I really can't understand what points you're trying to say, but NA Aion will receive no restrictions on game play unlike EU, where they have different account types. All of this is confirmed.

I am trying to say, that differences between "starter" and "veteran" accounts are not big, and won't help anybody to be better / higher lvl or so. Well, I'm about to say, that there will be no differences between Aion EU and NA in future (hopefully EU will get patch 3.0 as soon as possible, but without housing).

There is a difference though.

Some restrictions, although minor, are being applied to the EU accounts.

There is absolutely no restrictions in the NA accounts.

There is no restriction on NA servers but EU got the 118 hour cds due to the new company running it.

They even said they weren't changing anything but gradually adding stuff into the store. If you are already geared or decent it wont hurt you at all.

I have never play Aion, but i would like to. Could some1 tell me when and where I will be able to make account? I already downloaded Aion, but cant make a acc anywhere. Some1 told me that it will start 28 february for users like me ( completely new)

In EU it will be hosted by gameforge and they will start on feb 28th you will need to create an account there, for NA I don'T know they just announced it and it will take some months till release of f2p.


and it's only called f2p in real it's pay 2 win :P

It is first opinion like that... You are completely wrong. You think that on f2p games with item store you can't be best without paying cash? I am playing only games like this and the way I am getting things from item shop, is buying from other players for ingame money.
Are you first time going to play such a game? More experienced players = epic win. Cash won't make you better. Start craft on low lvls and lvl it with you = a lot of cash in endgame + possibility to get nice worthy stuff.

You will be able to create account after (approximately) 28th Feb on GameForge website. The CBT just finished : ).
