I'm looking for a game, that i don't feel like is on the downhill end of its lifetime (like wow is) and MUST have a good PVP aspect. From what i've read it seems Aion could be pretty decent.

Also if there are any Aussies that play this game, please tell me what server i should play for least ping, highest aussie population etc..

No, don't bother. Unless you're a returning player, there isn't really any point. In a couple months or so, Tera should be out and that will probably have better pvp and no factions. If you start now, you'd just be very behind level-wise and gear-wise.

Aussie server got closed for too low population.

Aion really feels like the downhill end of it's lifetime - the people left are the ones that's been there forever and are well established. It's more of a little community than anything else. But once geared and once you are established, it's a really fun game
