Is the update server screwed. Yes, I pay for retail.
Every time I open the launcher, it can't get updates. It shows no info on game either.
If I try to force-launch aion and log in, it just freezes.
I uninstalled, and now I can't even re-install.
Anyone else having this issue?
I ask because I deleted a bunch of junk yesterday and I might have messed something up (even though I've deleted every file associated and tried re-installing several times)

You might have done something. When I load the Aion Launcher, it checks for updates and then loads Aion normally. If you have the discs then that may help but you may need to try to download the pc client from the Aion site through account services.

You screwed something up, try reinstalling it.

It works again
The problem was that I had deleted a lot of things to get rid of a fake anti-virus Trojan infection, and the Trojan had put a proxy on Internet Explorer, which i hadn't noticed as I use Firefox for browsing
After disabling the proxy, it works fine
