Sorcs = Dominate anyone 1v1 as they are literally capable of 1 hitting most classes, 2-3 hit all others.
They rely on certain skills, but when you learn how to use them they're quite easymode.
Spirit masters rely on fearing, and that's their only use, Pet is useless and their damage is too. Spirits don't do damage, and the only people that end up complaining about fear is squishies like Rangers/sins/sorcs
Sometimes a cleric may QQ about fear, because they're so used to being able to heal through almost anything in the game lol.
I suggest Sorc, they're a lot more effective. Honestly people wonder why Koreans don't use spirit master and the reason is because without fear, the class just blows entirely.
They have DoTs which you can easily pot through, sorcs have minor DoTs but also nukes to mix in with it.
Sorcs have a better variety of CC, and they also have better survivability.
They also have the one skill I wish I could have on say my chanter or glad... or any melee just because of how OP it can be if used right -- Blind Leap.
Blind leap teleports you randomly somewhere around, takes you off the Players Target, and removes any debuffs that effect speed or movement.
AKA Glads with Anklesnare can shoot their ankle snare in hopes to catch up, you just blind leap out of it.
Otherwise other classes cept cleric have to take it, it's not Pottable.
Sorcs are also like rangers in the sense that armor may play a roll in stats and such, but ultimately they just need a good weapon. This is debatable, but sorcs can do fine PvE with just a good weapon.
like rangers you can kite elites, for easy xp/leveling.
This post is full of lies and fail ... like seriously, you make me facepalm EVERY time you post something.
*** What I am going to say applies to ENDGAME pvp, with people having average gear (fenris/miragent/30/40 elite pvp gear) ***
a sorc can NOT 1 shot anybody, period. 3 shot, possible ... flame spray + inferno + glacial shard ... good luck shooting all of that before the other person does anything.
Yes, SMs rely on fear ... they have insta fear, regular fear, fear shriek. Tho, have you ever been up against a SM with Infernal pain, cyclone of wrath magic implosion and cursecloud on you ? As a templar, and not a sucky one, i can say i die REALLY quick to that, with PvP armor. A good SM will put so many shit on you and in such an order that your pots will remove 3 crappy dots, and the important stuff will stay on you the whole time, including silence and all his powerfull ones. Not to forget you,re chain feared.
In a duel, a good SM will rapy Any. Single. Class. 1v1 with all of his cooldown (mostly insta fear). Preiod.
Unlike what you said, clerics are the most likely to survive a SM attack (considering he stacks high MR). Not only cause they can heal, but also dispell/cure themself and doesn't rely on the pot for that. But once again, a good SM should win and place his silence in a position where the cleric won't be able to pot out of it.
sorcs have better survavibility ? Did you forget about spirit substitution ? and the new shield SMs got with 2.0 ? I agree they might have good survavibility when they go SLeeping storm spec ... but that takes away some burst dmg such as flamespray and glacial shard
Blind leap is not that OP lol ... any good PvPer will have the target marked ASAP, with keybind attached to it. if you're solo pvp or duelling, just hit ''tab'' once and you'll target him again ...
about ankle snare, only sins and chanters need to take it ... sorcs have blind leap/stunbreak skill, glad have strenghen wings (or however it's called), temps have it too and can use ironskin if anything, ranger can just sleep arrow the glad and wait it out, and SMs just won't get ankle snared cause that glad should be feared already
i agree a sorc / ranger with bad armor is less of a big deal than a temp/glad ... but it still is important to get blue/gold at least for the ammount of sockets
the most important imo is to get the weapon enchanted to +10 or even +15 for the extra magicboost from it.
EDIT
forgot to talk about PvE there. TBH i'd take a sorc over a SM anyday for almost any instance, except for fort instances / besh .... i also like to have a SM for dark poeta S rank in case i fuck up and get hit by a fear.
But yeah, for most instances we play temp/glad/sorc/sm/chanter/cleric ... so we always have both anyway !
EDIT
BTW you seem to know so many things about this game, mind linking me your character ? =)
