why do you have to pay to get a free month? i dont want to buy a time card till i like it and dont got credit card or paypal money

You don't have to pay to get the free month. You however need a timecard/credit card to activate your account(your CC wont be billed)

To activate your free month you just need a credit card, it wouldn't get billed till your month is up, you could just cancel it by then if you don't like the game.
