I was watching a youtube video and coudln't decide which looked more appealing to me for pvp a chanter or cleric. Please post if you have one of these and why you chose the class over the other.

Cleric. Chanter is useless as FUCK in pvp.

...I am a chanter, so... my opinion isn't totally skewed. You only get what... like two slows until 42? And one stun that's a chance trigger, one stun that's trigger off parry. If you don't have your abyss boots, you aren't fucking killing anyone without decent cc following you around.

Cleric. Bitches cant kill me. Till i run out of mana that is

Right. Clerics flash of whatever is fucking ridiculous heal with 30s cd and won't ever die in 1v1. Chanters have this shitty HoT 50hp/2s over one fucking minute and a target heal that has a 2sec cast time, not reduced with level.
Chanters only have melee damaging skills that isn't fucking Smite I you get as a priest, good luck marking any kills in the abyss or at all without the +20%. Clerics have some bullshit stigma DoTs that do a fuckton of damage at mid levels.

Don't even consider Chanter if you're interested in the pvp. I really like pve 'n I party lots so....

ive been watching some more youtube videos and have decided to open up this discussion to all spirit master and sorcerer players as well... Between these four classes for pure PvP which did you find to be the best class and why?

Cleric beats everything.

Sorc beats everything cept Cleric.

Sorcs are sick and can kill clerics with spell disruption or cc. sleep as disruption and ice blast (or whatever its called) but they die really fast.

Rangers are pretty good in pvp!!!

this is all talking about 1v1 pvp dont forget that. The dynamic may change when in a group and this is a group game.

I know they are two totally different games and i'm not trying to create any arguments over it but can a cleric be compared at all to a resto shaman in world of warcraft? I preferd playing a resto shaman cause I liked there versatility, they could dps, tank, or heal and I liked healing for group pvp or raiding... Are these two different characters compareable at all? I'm looking for a toon thats more like the resto shaman as far as (having hots, being able to hold there own in a 1v1 and heal through it all, be a good raid healer ofcourse and pretty much be able to make the other char borred of trying to kill u when you can just heal through everything they've got) I've read that the cleric can be compared to a holy paladin and chanter to a disc priest in world of warcraft but whats a restoration shaman compared to?

Its sort off like a resto shaman but not really.

Both healers wear chain armor so they are not ridiculously skishy but 1 is pure healing, with a huge heal while the other one can do more dps but has a hot instead of the big heal. My input is only till level 20 though so....

Clerics do some much healing and have armor that they are very hard to kill. I like that you cant just kill a healer no matter what but you have to use skills to beat them, interrupt, cc, whatever.
