I'm interested in the controls/mechanics and how they effect PvP, anyone wanna help fill me in on how the game runs?

Questions:
1) Mobility is one of the most important things in PvP for me, i'm wondering on how it effects PvP in this game because damage racing is rather boring. I know that theirs a chain combo system but if all PvP involves multiple people rubbing against eachother (not moving), mashing in their chains and using a couple party/support spells then I may lose some interest.
2) When you swing a sword, must your weapon hit the enemy to deal damage or must you just be close to the target and it does not matter where your sword lands.
3) Can you dodge arrows/magic and other projectiles that fly towards you?
4) Compared to Knight Online, can I hold down the mouse button to move around and use another button to target the closest enemy? I hate WASD controls :D
5) Hows the Grind, are there low level PvP area's? (Ardream/Dcz in KO)
6) Is it still possible to get into a beta?

Any other information is welcome.

Thanks :)

1) Think of 3-dimensionall PvP. I'm not sure what you mean by damage racing, but melee needs to be within melee range to hit. Range needs to be within a certain (large) radius to be able to use it on someone. If you're melee and someone is running around the place, you try to stay within melee range of them. I am pretty sure this goes for any game.
2) You have to be within melee range. If you swing your weapon, it will hit them. However, there are stats in the game such as dodge that will give them a chance to reduce the damage by 100%.
3) Yes, but not simply by moving out of their line of trajectory. If it is a spell/skill that is not instant, you may move behind an object to where you are out of their line of sight. The spell/skill will not go off if you are out of their line of sight when the spell/skill is supposed to be cast/used.
4) You can if you really want, but you will absolutely suck in PvP. Asdw (with strafing on A and D) is far superior. This pretty much goes for every MMO.
5) Everywhere is a PvP area once you get to the level 20+ content. I'm level 22 right now and I haven't had to grind at all. But I hear it can be faster than questing in some level tiers.
6) The game was released on the 22nd of this month. Beta is over.

I have never played Knights Online, but I did play WoW for over 3 years. I like Aion better in every aspect. You find yourself using a large variety of skills/keybinds. In WoW you pretty much spam one button until you hit max level.
