I'm considering buying Aion but was hoping to get some feedback from ppl that might have played in the beta this last month. What I'm looking for is a fun and awesome looking game that in the most case I can play solo with out having to do the whole raid thing like wow.

Don't know but $60 seems like a rip off.
I just watched the video and the game does seem to catch my atention.

d2 seemed like a waste

I also thought a dvd player was a waste

I bought d2 2 times c uz i lost cd keys once
Gw's i boguht all 3 expansions witch is like 40 dollars ea at the time

Ya same thing, I like all the graphics, and how you can fly with huge attacks and what not. But I don't want a game like wow that you have to spend 8 hours just to MAYBE get 1 item and farm for gold for 3 hours to barely get enough to pay for repairs and flasks. I know alot of u know this frustration eh, but ya any comments from ppl that have played the beta would be awesome.

I have a few friends who tried the beta and they said it was definetly worth looking into

Its still a mmorpg, and there will be end game raid and stuff, but I do beleive you can play and have fun without it

it's basically a wow clone

if you're tired of wow but like the feel of it (1st/3rd person mmorpg with pve/pvp) this will be a breath of fresh air

and there's a cheaper standard ed pre-order of $50
$60 is for collector's ed, which isn't worth it imo

Friends are playing it and saying it's awesome. 2 factions like WoW but easy ports to the other factions training area so you can gank n spank all you want. apparently you get pvp points and exp for killing people, the points you can use for pots and gear i think for more pvp. Doesnt seem like theres as much grinding as WoW which seems good and im not sure about raids. It's probably just like 5 man groups or some shit? But gameplay looks awesome and pvp is quite balanced which is especially impressive for a game still in beta. Basically it looks like lineage but better and is like moving on WoW so you can actually kite shit. and tons of kewl skeelz.
