I'm not saying I don't believe you. I'm just saying I cannot vouch you played until lvl 10.

Doesn't matter if he played up to lvl 10 or less, fact is he still only played for a short amount of time and most likely didn't group for anything past that. From what I've heard so far since I'm not mid lvl 10s, grouping helps a lot for leveling and such. I just don't see how anyone can realistically compare and put down a game that he or she has played for only a few days just after launch with a game that he/she has probably played for a couple years that has had plenty of time to develop.

Well Aion isn't WoW.

So it auto-fails in his eyes.

My bad the gameplay is shit you can't move at all while talking to a npc, you can't spin at all while casting anything or it interrupts, anyone can mine your materials, not to mention the guilds don't even come into the same ball park. WoW's guilds can organize raids on a in game calendar and meetings etc. On WoW you can be a dps on every toon a tank on most and healer on most Aion has one healing class, BORING. It also copies WoW in a lot of ways and has almost ever aspect of Guildwars in it. Show me at least 5 things that Aion does better then WoW I'll even let you include graphics.

Lol I hope you realize that WoW has had a couple years on Aion to fully develop. That being said, I have no doubt that Aion will continue to improve. It hasn't even been a full week since launch and they're already doing things to try to improve gameplay and other things. Aion definitely plays slower than WoW with more grinding involved which I find can be boring, but I'm reserving my opinion on the game until I've played for some time and can fully make educated and justified comments.

Even WoW pre bc was more fun just because of the vast areas you could cover when ever you wanted not to mention unlimited time on a mount > wings for limited time in random areas.

Eh, the area set up in Aion leaves something to be desired, but Aion is at a bit more of a challenge than WoW. Either way though, you can't fairly compare Aion to WoW so much. I mean, if WoW didn't exist and people didn't have it to compare against Aion, I'm sure a lot of people who are dissatisfied with Aion because of being ingrained in WoW so long might feel differently. It's really a bit narrowminded when WoW has been around for 4+ years and doesn't incorporate Eastern MMO ideals among other things. Plenty can change in a few months for Aion, especially since it looks like NCSoft is really paying attention to their customer's thoughts on the game and such. And besides having better graphics than WoW (even though plenty other games have better graphics than WoW anyway), I find the server/faction balancing preferable to WoW thus far. I won't really make any further comments than that since I'm not yet far enough into the game to make much more observations.

WoW's look has never altered that much, put a pic of Guildwars and Aion next to each other, its almost identical. Most of those Korean games are just like that Aion is just a copy of Guildwars, WoW, and fly for fun with maybe a few of their own ideas and just threw in a lore. If you have not played Fly for Fun I've noticed a lot of monsters from there in Aion and the whole "private shop" thing is from Fly For Fun.

Edit: a shop in fly for fun

Overhead etc.

Edit:

better pic

They completely copied that...

Now it's been awhile since i last played WoW(Quit Feb of this year) but I was always able to steal peoples mining nodes. Fish their schools, and steal them a mulitude of other ways whether it be training mobs or BOP on my pally.

Took them 4 years to come up with this feature. Not to mention does any guild worth a damn even need that? Guilds still have their own websites for that shit and there were addons for that if you REALLY wanted it.

No, you can't be a dps on every toon. Not if you were serious about raiding, Enhancement shamans weren't brought to raid because of ZOMG awesome dps, they had support skills and moderate dps.

You can tank on 4 classes now, when the game first came out the only class that anyone would trust to tank was the warrior. Paladin's and Feral druid became viable only after TBC and DK's weren't around til Wrath. Took them 2-4 years to get more then 1 class that could tank properly.

3 healers, and again priests were primary healers, druids were secondary raid healers as were shamans. FYI chanteres heal great as support/secondary healers.

WoW copied EQ in a lot of ways, does that make WoW bad? No it doesn't. Since when does taking a good quality of another game and adding it to yours a bad thing? I guess if you are self righteous and have a problem with it on a moral level I see your sqabble, however I'm GLAD that they learned what people like in WoW and applied it to this game, same with guildwars, why would you not take positive aspects of a game and use them in another siilar game.

Graphics
PvP Balance
World PvP
Faster Paced Combat System,
Skill chains and Stigmas

Don't mention talents, because unless you were a hybrid class you had a cookie cutter spec that everyone had to use to be successful in raiding/pvp.

FYI templars can dps/support the same way a glad can offtank/dps the only classes that have 1 role available to them are Sorc, SM, Ranger, Assassin. Much like the Mage, Hunter, Rogue, Warlock(don't mention gimmick fights please)

Did wow always have calendars? I think not.
Spinning while talking/casting, what are you seven?
Copies wow, maybe by being a fucking MMO.

Aion:
Graphics
Leveling
Pve Gameplay
Group Leveling

Four things, I'm not up there in the levels yet, but I'm enjoying the leveling, never was like that in wow, I'm leveling with a friend, on Wow if you're not Raf leveling with a friend it is just useless. If you tried to level with someone in wow at level 10 you'd just look silly.
And I think you should honestly, honestly, try thigs game again, I don't understand how you can't like the game @ 10.. :O
Or Are you just not bored of wow, and prefer the routine you have made for yourself, waiting in queues for battlegrounds and doing 10/25 man nerfed content over and over.

Honestly, people who say Aion stole this and that from these random games, you should actually take the time to learn about their many other MMOs. For example, Lineage 2 had shops long before this Fly For Fun game. Lineage may have as well, I never played it. Obviously they are going to take things from their own games (Guild Wars being one of them as well) that worked well. Why wouldn't they?

And just about "stealing" features in general--are you people serious? Don't know how many times I've said it, but any MMO developer looking to be successful NEEDS to look at and take features from all the past games that worked well. That includes WoW, EQ, GW, L2, etc., even terrible games like Runescape if it had something worthwhile. At this point in time with the MMO craze, pretty much everything has been tried. Why don't you try to tell me some ideas for a "radically original" MMO? Right...its already been done. And if its radically original, chances are it failed or it would have been the new hit game to "challenge WoW." People don't want radically original; just look at the 50 thousand horrible reality TV shows that are all about the same retarded crap. People want better looking graphics, gameplay that has been proven to be fun and fluid, and improvements on the details.
