It's reality, the game will have to be MIND BLOWING to reach, or even pass WoW's userbase, because that's just how big WoW's is.
The game alone will have to be bigger then WoW. From the looks of it, it wont be.
Honestly, nothing against Aion, never said once that it was a bad game. Just saying the hype its getting isn't all worth it, at least to me, after playing the beta.
Age of Conan got hype, look how it turned out. Warhammer Online got pretty hyped towards release and was supposed to be a "WoW Killer", look how that turned out.
Age of Conan I never touched, but I played Warhammer to max level on one toon, then.. Once I got there, the game basically hit rock bottom. Was fun, eventually wen't back to WoW, definitely isn't better then WoW.
Give it a month or two, then you will see the negative arise from it. It wont kill WoW, the game is just way to big to be killed by an average Korean MMO.
Fancy graphics don't make a game, sure it helps, but definitely doesn't make it.
No one here is claiming it to be a WoW killer. I am claiming the game to be higher quality then WoW currently is. AoC and Warhammer sucked from the first time I played them in beta til right before release. I've been playing Aion since korean betas I know what I will be getting and I love it. I don't see how you can make a proper judgment amount Aion until you've made it into late levels where the game shines in it's PvP brilliance.
