It's personal preference.
There are a lot of WoW players that come to Aion and expect this game that will shatter their minds.
You will not be shattered, however, you will be playing a game that was developed on the weaknesses and strengths of most popular mmo games.
Aion's PvP is awesome and leaves you on your toes at all times.
Aerial PvP makes the game much more interesting.
Who ever thinks Aion is only a grind game hasn't played it. If you think all there is to do is grind, please note, the vast majority of quest givers are not in the wilderness, please locate nearest fort, outpost town, etc., you will find plenty of quests.
WoW players that are still holding on to their game seem intimidated by the fact that they have to start from scratch again. Every dedicated WoW player I know that tries Aion is leveling slowly, complaining about random garbage and just wants to go back to their
bind to account items + banks of materials and gold so they don't have to build a character the hard way.
Bash Aion if you will, but for now it is a great new game and gives people a great opportunity to get involved in a community from the start instead of filling out online applications to join a raiding guild. (lol btw)
I know I know... tl:dr... umad? blah blah... Yes this post is long. No, I am far from mad.
