No contradiction - just that until the botting issue is fixed it's not 100% - because of only the issue with the botters/customer support regarding the botters.
But like I said, this morning they made an announcement and started hitting the farmers/botters with the ban hammer so I'm pretty satisfied at this point The gameplay always was much better than WoW imo, and now that these other issues are being addressed the game is just fantastic in my book.
It is pretty grindy, which can be real frustrating depending on what class you play.

I have been playing it for a week now and l find it awesome.

There's a ton of grinding though but l dont mind.

I'm not at all upset about some of the downsides of Aion. I didn't expect to get it and think the customer service and options would be as widely available as Blizzard is with WoW...
I think considering - it's doing great. I think with time they'll fix the movement and camera issues (I hate Smart Camera)... those are all entirely fixable.

I've been reading a lot of WoW > Aion posts from people who haven't even played Aion yet.

Here's my honest opinion if you care:

I've been playing WoW since Christmas of 05. I miss a lot of the old and enjoy some of the new. I don't intend on quitting. I don't think I could - I am addicted to it.
I saw that Aion was coming out and I was extremely impressed from what I saw - far more so than with Conan or Warhammer, etc. A few days after the release I had to buy it.
I'm only level 12 - but I must say I've enjoyed those 12 levels more than any of my 70 - 80 leveling in WoW. The graphics make the game more believable and I think the questing is great.
As far as the story and lore goes - I love how Aion is new but I think WoW holds bigger in my heart. I don't particularly enjoy the flight system (yet) but it's something I could become accustomed to.

In reality - for me - it's a question of whether or not I can give up one addiction and pick up another. I've spent so much time playing WoW and dedicating myself to learning the game inside and out that anything new seems... bad. So I can understand all the idiots saying WoW > Aion without actually trying the game. They're just afraid. I do think the road Blizzard is taking with WoW is killing the game. Fast. I will continue to subscribe to WoW and I will attempt to level up on Aion... it will take time for me to decide which game is truly better.

For people looking for simple input on some qualities of which game is better: (keep in mind these are my opinions)
World Graphics: AION
Spell / Attack Graphics: AION
Lore / Story: WOW
Character Gameplay (as in how you connect to your character via the game and quests): AION
Endgame (for now): WOW
PvP: N/A
Side Events (Crafting, etc): WOW
Movement / Transportation: WOW
Customer Support (understandably so): WOW
Potential (future): AION

Aion has infinitely superior and challenging PvP as opposed to WoW.
