Also kinda confused on how the manastones work...Do the crit hit manastones work on say my leather leggings? or do they only work when socketed on a weapon? and if so is the soft cap per weapon or total combined?

Crit stones apply on anything.

If you look at the top Korean builds, a lot of them actually do crits to 340. It's 100 under soft cap because you have the +100 crit for 1 min skill with 2min cooldown. If you need more than a minute to kill someone, you really shouldn't be fighting them. Everything else is stacked to +5 atk stones ideally.
Assassins are only the most gear dependent because their skill rotation can't be weaved with attacks and ends really quickly. Ambush->3runes->detonate->FE->spin->3runes->bind->wait a bit->repeat is usually how it goes down.

Never slot anything that isn't crit or atk. Unless you're going for a full resist set. Totally recommended during fort raids so you don't get picked off by some sorcs early.

Cool thanks for the info.

I was just looking in my profile at my stats and didnt see anything that told me what my crit was at..I found where it says the crit rate on my main/off hand weapons but nothing about my overall crit rate.

Your overall crit rate is your mainhand crit rate. Offhand crit is "technically" just a gimmick and should never be considered.

ok so will applying crit manastones to my offhand help increase my main hand or "overall" crit rate?

If you crit with one swing, you crit with both swings.

Is it pointless to put crit mstones in both of my daggers then?

No its not pointless. What PsycTint meant was the crit on your offhand weapon itself is meaningless. Your mainhand weapon's crit gets added to your crit total, but the offhand's does not. Manastones on any equipped gear will add to your crit total.

Since the offhand's crit is meaningless, its best to go sword offhand. Some people go sword mainhand as well when they get the gear/level to hit soft cap easily. I haven't read up on that at all so I'm not sure whether its better to do that or keep dagger/sword.
