The game is really good but I'm hoping for some major changes to the way they are handling the servers (que and overcrowding) along with mob tapping. If that happens, I would recommend it to buy.

Except you can now have 2 specs and actually deal some damage while solo.

Yeah, but keep in mind really Aion hasn't got much to do with WoW. My cleric solo'd much faster than my assassin did, primarily because of the lack of down time.
My Sorceress was the fastest to level so far.

the game just came out, and it isn't wow. this game focuses more on groups, have you noticed group exp for killing monsters is not near the amount wow was?

The game is a heavy grindfest, if your not a carebear that loved wow and you like daoc / l2 / eq, you should like aion.
