If you are looking to PvE no. If you like mass pvp as well as small group pvp then there is plenty to be had, at least on Zikel I spend most of my time in the core Pvping even at 48.

Hah, what about chanters, are they used that much in PvP?

Great Support class for PvP, suck solo.

From 42-49 and even at 50 before people start getting geared (sitting at around 6k hp or less) Chanters are actually quite strong solo. IJ/SS is ridiculous and their survivability with Recovery Spell and intelligent kiting is very strong. Potential burst is moderate, but some lucky knockdowns and/or good IJ/SS high damage hit/stun can be devastating.
