I've used dagger main, sword OH on my assassin and it works very well, I seem to out perform using 2x daggers, haven't bothered with 2x swords yet. Most people i've talked with or heard from say dagger/sword.

Note: assassins take a lot of damage when killing mobs, stock up on your potions, Odella powders, and bandages so you can have minimal downtime.

Higher level there is really no reason too besides that get away move. so maybe 1/100 of your time will be with swords.

Sin for rifting
Sin for abyss

Sin for anything but group pvp, basically.
