This is especially inconvenient for healers/templars.

So until this issue is fixed, I can't vouch Aion 100% against WoW, because Blizzard choses to offer fast customer service and they have always told us (even if we didn't agree) what their intentions were in making the game better.

i've played wow for a fair few years, yet Aion is the new kid on the block. ^_^
I much prefer Aion, but i am incluned to say that it is a fair amount harder and less noob friendly (no offense ofc) than WoW, +1 mob at a bad time = death :p

Although, starting WoW now, would be horrible. People have so much knowledge about it, everyone knows like 80% of the quests (except the eeebayers and most Death knights :P ) who will be yelling at you: "its soloable! you dont need help!"
Imo joining wow now, would be a little too late. And i think you won't find it as fun as if you joined at its release.
Aion on the other hand has only recently come out and everyone is pretty much in the same boat.. =]

In conclusion although Aion is slighter harder (imo), you get more "feel good achievement".
As it is still a new game they're will be a load of updates coming up - balancing - rebalancing - botter/gold seller banning - etc.
They're will always be gold sellers and chinese ni hao farmers as long as people keep paying them :( even wow can't stop them all (the dead bodies spelling out the gold sellers website is fair game though ^^ )

This i agree with, but Aion seems to be hitting it big. So hopefully NCsoft will use their brains and spend money to get this sorted :D

I mean, I probably should say more good points about it. Reading this post it makes it seem like I hate Aion but I really don't.
I cancelled my WoW account IMMEDIATELY after my first Beta run in Aion.

The gameplay is better. The mobs are more challenging. They implimented movement keys so that your character movements reflect stat changes - such as strafe increasing evasion, moving forward increasing attack etc.
I love this system and it really does show that they're trying to go for Skill > Gear unlike WoW which has more to do with your character's gear than anything at all.
The graphics are far more appealing, the character creation and customization is absolutely insane, no two characters will look alike. Hell you can dye your armor, chose what armor style you like and add stats to it instead of wearing what everyone else wears. The PVP is far better. You can fly which is really cool (even if it is in specific areas) you can still glide in no flight zones - and once you get good at gliding you can glide for very long distances. From level 1-19 the game is absolutely amazing. It's just when you hit the heavily botted areas that it sucks - only for the one reason I stated before regarding mob tapping/kill stealing from bots.

ive played wow for more then 3 years cleared every instance raid and became gladiator season 3/4/5 its getting to easy.
pro people transfer to other servers and other people come to us.
AION = i have no idea im thinking of buying in next week but i dont know if it will be 100% better then wow.

still have to see and play AION before i can have my opinion about it.

In terms of customer support for Aion, I played L2 for a number of years. I'm sorry to say that NCSoft customer support has never been any good. Personally I don't find it an issue, and they SEEM to be putting in more effort for Aion than they did for L2, but if its a serious problem for you, I wouldn't hold your breath.

That's really silly - considering that WoW didn't have addons either to begin with :D
And that interface was much lamer than Aions.
I guess there's a reason to have addons, though, and I am looking forward to the chance they might allow it in the future.

If you type in /anon every time you login, bots will not whisper you. You will still be able to see them in LFG channel (The only completely global channel), but you can still right-click block them. I've seen several bots killing things myself. The way you can tell they are bots is they sit after every single mob and their armor is their starting gear. There is an option that lets you select them and /autoreportblahblah or something along the lines of that. This will submit a report to NCSoft basically saying they are botting. If NCSoft gets enough reports, they get banned.

The crafting system is definitely different than in any other game I've played. It definitely has it's advantages, but it's also very slow to level. And you pretty much have to go out of your way for very long periods of time to level up your gathering skill to keep it up-to-par with quests that require you to gather things. The Aether gathering skill consumes a crazy amount of time as you have to fly to a node, gather it maybe 3 times, then fly back and wait for your flight time to recharge. You do level a bit faster gathering aether, but it still takes 3-4 gathers after about level 50 to level up.

Aion needs to be developt a bit more but will be 1 of the top games... where as WoW is at its dieing stage where i see everyone leaving... so go aion

also aion is very early on and it will be good to be 50 in the first year

gold spaming is pretty bad in wow as well... every night im on a get a whisper from a level 1 asking me to buy his gold or go sign in to his retarded fake blizzard website to receive free stuff and steal my account info .... there not doing to well on this issue imo.
