You're arguing with an 18 year old...not every kid has a job or parents who will pay for things like an MMO fee. Not everyone can afford to waste money on stuff like this, particularly with today's economy...its not a big deal.

Ever been to a movie? Even by yourself, that's 2 hours of entertainment for the price of an MMO for a month with unlimited access. Use your hobby and write a program to tell you the value you're getting out of your entertainment.

Good for you that you have a job/parents who pay for it. That doesn't mean everyone is in the same situation. I know people whose parents won't even pay for internet because they think it interferes with their kids' school work. There's no point in arguing over this with people you don't know.

Ideally this game will have updates, extending the gameplay for that long. My brother buys a new game every month or 2, so assuming every 2 months and that a game costs 60 dollars (6 x 60) he is spending $360 a year. Not to mention that some games have 5 hours of gameplay (ODST), until you just have to play it over again on a harder difficulty. That sure sounds worth it.


By the way, I'm 19. No one is paying for both my WoW and Aion subscriptions, or my Vent server.

I can understand that you might not have the money, but to say it's a waste of life? ..
