I just started playing yesterday, and now have a lvl11 sorc. So far I like it alot and I like to mix up the pvp/pve but ive always mainly done pvp in most games. Im just curious if I picked the right class pvpwise / pvewise for further down the levels before I go to far.

Glad will be the PVP class from what I hear.

A Good class that does good PVP and PVE is Clerics or Chanters.

Rangers dominate AIR pvp, but get wrecked ground.
SINS are good if played right, otherwise they're a stain.
Everything else for the most part is so-so.

really? ive just beeen reading on other forums sorc's are pretty high up there for pvp dmg wise, and pve demand wise.. above rangers.. and in 2.0 glad#1 sorc#2.

guess everyone has mixed opinions.. any other opinions?

how do gladiators do in air pvp? they get kited easy? and im assuming in 2.0 they will dominate ground so im just curious about now?.

cant decide on which to roll, a sorc or a glad..?

If you are looking for pvp, you should just decide which class is for you. Gladiator with his knockdowns and stuff can mess a lot. I saw great geared gladi who just 3shot kill sorc without problem. Sorc is great char. You have nice dmg and cc. Sorc are complaing about magic resistance. If you will fight vs 1800 mres, you will know what does it means resist!

soc... 4k dp 1hit kill... wait 1hr... log out watch tv... facebook... jsp.... go back 4k dp 1 hit... rinse....

glad - gear dependant class, will completly RAPE when played right with very good gear
temp - if not really, really geared, you won't be abble to kill anything but you can run away from 3-4 people chasing you very easy. But once you get great gear, you're pretty much unstoppable.
sorcs - very strong when you know how to play it. Use your CC ... kite people around ... very good pvp dmg
spirit masters - VERY hard class to master perfectly. A good spirit master can kill anything. The best pvp class in my opinion.
rangers - incredible dmg, easy class to play, stealth ... perfect for ganking.
sin - very good burst dps, stealth, a bit taugher to play than the ranger, very good for ganking. sucks in the air, pro for rifting.
chanter - nice support class for pvp and pve, but you need to have veeery nice gear to be able to actually kill some1 before he runs away. good survability
cleric - they're pretty good at pvp, especially with magic resist build they can escape everything

Correcting: this game is gear dependant. So all class need good gear to do something. After 9 months, you can't own with green + blue, or blue + gold. You have to get pvp set (40,50), miragent/fenril or anuhart. Without this you are just free meat. And remember about godstone. The proc can decide who win, also your luck with active 3rd skills combo.

And about rangers: they are burst class, that means if you not cirit to much on your target, you must run, or have crossing fingers that your enemy is idiot.

Chanter is stun/knockdown class: this is good ground class. Job for chanter is to buff team and sit on enemy cleric hole the time.

Templar now is for nothing - joke
