How good are they compared to other classes at higher lvls?

Are they fairly any good for PvP? PvE? Solo?


Might consider rolling a chanter.

the DPS is kinda low compared to other classes like ranger/sin/sorc/glad obviously ... that's why you need very, very good gear to be efficient in PvP.

Solo, they are awesome. PvE, they are awesome and needed in every groups.

I still think nothing can beat a perfectly geared and skilled chanter. It's an easy class to play, but taugh to be good.

DPS isn't so much what I'm worrying about.

Thing is they're a hybrid class, Low set on heals and damage... but I'm debating if I should still roll with cleric or possibly roll a chanter.
Don't know though So far Cleric has amazing DPS + Heals for me.

what arwe you worried about then ? no DPS = people are gonna escape from you whenever they want = you won't get any kill unless you bring teh zerg

Well both cleric and chanters are preferred in groups, just depends on whether or not you want to be the main healer or a support class. Clerics can have pretty decent dps when geared + magic boost build, but you will def most likely need to go full heal spec for endgame raid bosses, etc.

I would use Cleric DPS if solo play or if there is already a Main healer in the group.

Otherwise if I'm healing I'll be rocking defensive survivability gear.


But I think I'm just going to stay with Cleric, I don't see why Chanters are any better.. they have good support spells, but i'd rather have better healing + Dispell spells. Also Clerics have better DPS imo, at least for my level. ~20's

Chanter is rly good at end game. As you know, this game is gear dependent, so don't expect, that you will own with any class without gear. Anyway chanter is great supporter, he have mantras and stuff. In pve he is so damn good. Instances with Word of Wind, Word of Quickness, mantras with mana regen and boost atack are easiest and faster. Solo pve is good too. At 50 with semi good gear you can farm elites and stuff. Also you are fast with that, because you don't need mana regen and breaks for restore hp. The next thing is pvp. You are rly good supporter with this case too. You have stuns and whitch is most important if you are good, your enemy is on ground almost hole the time. You can support cleric with heal when needed and support spike atack.

Anyway i think, all classes are interesting, if you see yourself as a cleric, choice it!

i love chanters, they're deadly as can be. buffs heals and stuns/knockdowns, chanter has everything and they can dish out plenty of good damage in pvp, tank/heal is pretty much how i operate as a chanter
