Hey guys, I'll be getting my first drawing pad tomorrow and I'll be using Sketchbook.
I just wanted to make a post where I could post some questions and ask for your opinions.

I've never drawn online and I'm looking to start editing pictures to make my own sigs (if they're good enough) and maybe eventually for others.
Any tips would be appreciated, I'm hoping this develops into a nice hobby

I'm getting an actual drawing pad for the computer, not a tablet.
I didn't get a crazy one, but it's around $100.
I didn't want to get the cheapest one, but I didn't want to get one that's too good because I don't deserve that.

Well played! I used a wacom intuos pro for 3 years before buying my iPad.

Tbh Sketchbook on desktop is a dream compared to the iPad version too, so you should be able to pull off some great shit there!

It just arrived, but it's 2am... So I have to be a good boy and wait until after work tomorrow

So, maybe my pen needs to charge, because it's currently not working.
I've been messing around with my mouse just using the editing functions to see what I can do and how to do it.
This is hard, lol. I have big ideas and small skills

The pen isn't registering on the pad. I looked it up and was told the pen would charge on the pad, but it doesn't seem to be working

Now I've updated the drivers and it seems to be registering, nice...
When you make a pop out sig, is that just done with layering?
Like a blank rectangle on the bottom and then an altered image above it?
