Just wondering how hard it would be to remove the ambient background from an animated gif such as the one below, such that you only get the face/neck and earrings; more or less wondering if it would be a simple task to learn and do myself and what programs would be needed to do it.

it probably wont be hard just tedious as you would have to go and remove the background from every single frame
not sure if there are programs that can do that automatically but gimp (free) or photoshop (paid) will allow you to do it by hand afaik

Thanks, this worked, lucky the frame didn't shift much I could just remove background from one of them and transfer to them all.

Just curious because the rings, ears, jaws/cheek move a bit which is really nice

I over cropped to account for that, wasn't going for super quality here (as seen by the white under the ears) its just a quick addition to one of those full steam backgrounds.
