How many would wanna be involved with judging peoples' work and ranking their ability in terms of tagging? Of course we need judges to go through a preliminary too to decide if they really have the talent to back it up. Just a finicky idea, but it could be cool.

We'll have the original members of Graphic Design be the judges for the prelims if necessary or take their vouches into consideration. This way the request people could have a decent time improving their work and coming here to get ranked and signature buyers can have a standard to work with.

i think this used to be a thing like 5-10 years ago. people here were really active, posting their works for cnc or even working together for a tagworm is what i remember
now most people have moved on and dont tag anymore or atleast dont visit this site anymore
i think the idea is good though!
i love looking at other peoples tags but i wouldnt feel good rating them since i have no expertise.
i would however participate in a traditional tag contest where render (and maybe background, c4ds or dimensions) are provided and everyone has to make a tag out of it but im not sure if thats what you wanted.

There aren't enough people with knowledge and truth is, no one cares about tagging anymore. It is dying form.

Also, you can already be ranked and by that I mean, you can be acknowledged by community (what is left of it) if your work is good. No need to set such system into stone.

Sorry but no diplomas with titles and smiley faces are given out. Keep practicing and don't limit yourself to existing c4d renders and brush strokes. Try different forms of art, Post what you are doing and if you are good at what you do, you will be known for it. It won't happen with a bang nor it will be celebrated. You'll know by then.

You have improved quite a bit and I suggest to follow that trend. I try to keep tutorials thread updated, start from searching there.
