Hi guys!

First of all, happy holidays!
I've been planning to get a new laptop for myself, and I'd like to ask your help if you can.
I was looking specifically at one laptop, which would be Dell inspiron 7567 ( 226954 )
This one comes with these specs :

Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ 2,8 GHz 2400 MHz

16GB DDR4

1 TB, 128 GB SSD 5 400 RPM

15,6 FHD LED 1920 x 1080 Pixel

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 4 GB

I was curious if you could tell me your opinion about it, I am right now studying graphic designing, and I want to buy a laptop not just for a year or so. But I've been reading pretty bad reviews about this model's screens, this one is already with IPS screen not TN, but still people were not too satisfied with it. Does any of you have this model? Can you agree / disagree on it? Or does any of you have this model with the 4k UHD screen? Is it better?

This model is ~$1440 in my country. I can't really afford to spend much more on a laptop, but do you guys have anything in mind in around the same price which you could recommend me more than this one?

Thank you in advance!

I have a bit older Dell Inspiron 7559 with IPS screen and biggest problem with it is quite a lot of backlight bleed. On dark screen, it bothers me quite a lot. Otherwise, Dell quality is solid, at least I have not had a single issue with it.

Specs seem solid, bit pricey for that perhaps? Would guess it had 1050 Ti for that price. In my country you can get same cpu, 1050 Ti, 8gb ddr4 and 256ssd+1tb hdd, fhd, win10 or same cpu, 1050, 16gb ddr4, 4k screen and 512gb ssd with win10. I would guess you can get a better deal searching around? Taken that price in Hungary and Estonia should be around same or bit higher for us here.

Otherwise solid choice.

Hi,

First of all I really appreciate the time invested in replying to me :)

I'm not really sticking to anything, although I have brand preference which would make it either be a dell or an asus.
Ofcourse I still have to search around for possible better offers, as there should be, but not that much cheaper. Also what I did not count with is that it's already too deep in christmas so a lot of models are not shown in the shops and the webshops because of being out of stock, so I'll just wait until jan-feb to look around.
My greatest concern is also the screen, I am not expecting super-duper mega good screen, but for this price I kind of want one that actually does the work when being on the go, otherwise I am planning to get a monitor. I'll need some suggestion for that also if some of you could, just what I should be seeking for.

So overall you are satisfied with the choice you had? Can I ask what specs yours have and how good does it perform? I don't know if you do any kind of rendering or smg so you could also tell me what's up with that.

Thank you and happy holidays!

In daily use, that backlight bleed does not bother me much. Just on dark screens like watching movies or so. I haven't worked with graphics for quite some time now but it didn't bother me more than when watching movies back then, anyway. Good choice and for decent price monitors would be Dell ultrasharps if they are still being made. I still got one 23" Dell UltraSharp, I think a 2013 or 2012 model, and it is solid. Screen is good, picture quality is great for the price. I believe on used market in my country, they go for like 50-70 eur.

Mine is i5 6300HQ, 3x4GB DDR3, GTX 960 4GB, 1TB HDD, 256GB M.2 SSD, 15.6" IPS 1080p screen. It cost me around 900 EUR. Ran quite well for photoshop and illustrator cc 2015 and SketchUp 2015 though my work was not very power consuming. i7 model would make more sense for 3d rendering/video editing.
I am satisfied with my purchase even though 1000-series GPUs came to laptop specs shortly after purchase and would have been better choice for price per bang. It has been working for around 2 years now and still works very well.
