so as you can see by my attempt of a signature im a real amateur if you can even call it that ... but what I really need advice and help with when ive finished this I always end up with the white background -.- how exactly do I make it so the background isn't there as in phtoshop its just showing the canvas I don't have a white background originally...

You need to save the file as .png rather than .jpg (assuming that in photoshop the background is transparent).
