Hey guys, just recently opened photoshop for the first time in a while and I seem to be having a problem preserving transparency when opening pngs.

Was going to add santa hats for some people, but here's what it looks like when I try to modify a borderless sig:

Instead of this:


You guys have any ideas what could be the cause?

Yea that ps version is too old and doesn't fully support PNG-8 files, that's why it looks like that
You're actually gonna need either cs6 or cc, I recommend CC 2015

/actually I think only CC is capable of properly displaying png-8 files

Haha yeah I've had this for a while, I knew I'd have to upgrade at some point :)

Thanks for the info! I'll check out the differences between CC and Cs6.

If only CC is capable of displaying certain files I guess that's what I'll try to get my hands on.
