My brain is fried

I'm tired of looking at gear.

I do photography and a lot of photoshop.

Everything I read says I need at least an IPS of any sort to be better off then my current acer monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236307

I figure, according to what I've read about its importance, even an older IPS monitor would be better graphic wise than my current
I'm trying to find the best IPS monitor under like $350-500

I've seen like one main Dell ultrasharp and one main Asus that most articles keep referring to.

dell being $250 and the technology is about 3 years old and the asus is around the same.

Every place says for the price its the best out there I just can't believe in the past 3 years something better hasn't came out for around the same price.

Thanks in advance.

Was hoping maybe someone saw something good on sale or something?

I got my monitor from Newegg early last year, it's a 27in IPS LED. It was around $200, this one is pretty close: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824025041&cm_re=27%2binch%2bips%2bmonitor-_-24-025-041-_-Product

It took a while to get used to how huge it is, but I love it now. I'm a photographer also and I really couldn't ask for much more. I did buy Spyder calibration software as soon as I got it though, which I'd definitely recommend. It's like $30 on amazon.

Dell does make some very good monitors. I have a 24" IPS thats about 5 years old now and I love it. Some fo thier models do tend to have a little too much of the anti-glare though and seem pixelated-ish, hard to explain if you haven't seen it.
