If anyone here actually works as a designer for a living. If so what exactly do you do as a designer.

Ill start off:

-Web designer/Developer

Design Emails - banners and other various online ads
Site updates, such as new slider images
I also do a little coding, not as much as i would like to though. Mainly, HTML, CSS, Javascript.

Visual UX Designer.

Kinda, what the title implies... adding the visual layer ( type, color, etc ) to Wireframes/site maps. :santa:

D2jsp signature/tag designer

I basically take requests from clients that are most the time completely awful and then make something ugly out of it for profit.

My first job had a lot more traditional design work.. billboards, package design, virtually every single thing that gets printed (magazines, business stationery, mailers, coupons, posters, banners, etc), logos/rebrands, marketing. I also did quite a bit of food photography and package/product rendering. I dabbled in web design as well, but our coder did all the piecing together..I just instructed.

My current job is a lot more corporate. I design based on established branding toolkits already, so I'm infinitely more limited to what I'm allowed to do. It pays much better than the previous job, plus I enjoy doing artwork outside of work again, which has been awesome.

I have absolutely no artistic ability outside of the capacity to make passable signatures. :P

I do UI/UX for iOS apps and websites, as well as the framing and styling of websites (html/css/angularJS). Have been doing that for a few years now.

Sort of. I have an Etsy shop where I sell templates for photographers/bloggers etc. It's a nice bit of money.

I definitely wouldn't have ever known how to do it without learning all the PS techniques that I did in this forum.
